Igniting Startups On and Around SSU

Because it takes a village

“Failing Until You Succeed”, “Have Tools To Launch Your Startup From Idea to Exit”, “Early Evidence Is Often Too Early And Not Really Evidence”

Hi everyone. I hope that you enjoy the articles and video I have included this week. Sonoma State University’s new Entrepreneur In Residence Mark Nelson will be at the Sonoma Mountain Business Cluster on March 8th from 3-5pm. He will be talking to The Entrepreneur Society about his own experiences as an entrepreneur. Everyone is welcome to come!

I found this interesting interview with Seth Godin on failing. “Seth Godin on Failing Until You Succeed“. The video is a little long but I think that i I particularly like the section where he talks about initiative and lizard brains.

Many students are interested in making a startup but do not know the steps to create one. The post “34-Must Have Tools to Launch your Startup from Idea to Exit” talks some tools in order to create a startup. There are many ways to create a startup but if you have no idea how to put your idea into action, it should be useful.

Evidence from experimentation is necessary for a Lean startup. However, early evidence from research might not be the most helpful to your business. The post “Early Evidence Is Often Too Early And Not Really Evidence” talks about the importance of gathering enough data for accurate feedback.
